Strategically situated on the edge of the Dham River, Pavnar is of great historical significance located in the district of Wardha. The name of this place is derived from a Rajput ruler Pawan. It forms one of the most prehistoric colonies in the district. The major attractions of this place are Gandhi Kuti and Paramdham Ashram of Vinobaji. It is the place of an ashram, which was founded by the great social reformer and campaigner Acharya Vinoba Bhave for the treatment of leprosy patients - and also the location of the Gandhi Kuti.
